I am Alexandra Carbonell (Instrutora Mimada), born July 23rd 1978 in Miami, Fl USA. I’m a licensed Massage Therapist, graduated from “Acupuncture Massage College” December 2001, with specific training in Swedish massage and shiatsu. I worked for the next 5 years in 5 stars spas, upscaled and exclusive companies, where I learn many modalities of massage and body treatments for the nurishing of the skin and detofixication of the body appliyng salts scubs or seaweed detox treatments. Then decided to go into the medical part of the business because I was becoming a martial artist. I started working with specific injuries and conditions helping peolple reduce pain and promote healing. For that I took courser of sports medicine for the massage therapist, and now I'm expanding to physiotrainig which is a combination of physical therapy with personal training. We designe a program of exercises to treat specific conditions which help strenthen, stabilize and I began to practice Capoeira in June 2002, under the instruction of Mestre Delei “Kacula” with the “International Group of Capoeira Abolicao”. On July 6th 2008, I was promoted to the rank of "Instrutora" (Instrctor) in Sta. Catarina, Brazil. I've had the opportunity to travel for workshops in Sweeden, England, Spain, Costa Rica, Peru and Colombia. Now, I recently joined the group Capoeira Aprendizes, under the instruction of Mestre King from Rio de Janeiro. I work out of Doral, Florida at Boca Jiujitsu Martial Arts School, building a strong base for our students, creating new capoeiristas everyday, living a healthy and active lifestyle with strong bodies and determined minds. I'm also a conditioning personal trainer. I help people loose weigh, tone up theis boidies, improve strength and flexibility, I educate them in their eating habits and help them keep a healthy lifestyle for a long and healthy life.
